USDA held an Impact Expo this month featuring several of its recent modernization initiatives, including GSA's Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and the USDA Business Modernization Office (BMO). See USDA's press release about the event here.

USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue and GSA Technology Transformation Services (TTS) Director Anil Cheriyan opened the event with speeches. Director Cheriyan said, "We’ve had a great partnership with USDA. Efficient and effective customer focus is near and dear to our hearts, and we look forward to progressing with our work together.”

After the speeches, USDA employees and press were welcome to visit the 25 booths, "each dedicated to a specific project demonstrating exemplary customer service and/or modernization efforts."

Summit's BMO team (which includes teammates from Summit, Grant Thornton, and Packaged Agile) hosted a booth and talked to all sorts of USDA folks about agile and our upcoming modernization efforts this year. One of the most exciting moments of the event was when Secretary Perdue stopped by Summit's booth to talk with our team.

Thanks to USDA and GSA for trusting Summit to implement customer-focused IT modernization efforts!
