On today’s episode of Complexity Simplified, Summit director Kate Lynch Machado sits down with mortgage analytics experts Ken Bjurstrom of Milliman and Summit director Josh Goldberg to talk about the special role of the Federal Housing Administration in mortgage finance. Bjurstrom is a principal with the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, office of Milliman and has been with the firm since 1998. He specializes in analyzing the financial risks associated with issuing, servicing, and securitizing mortgages; mortgage guaranty insurance; and credit enhancement structures. Goldberg has more than two decades of experience in  mortgage finance, most recently focusing on model development, model validation, model audit, credit risk management, stress testing, and valuation techniques. He spent 10 years at Freddie Mac before joining Summit in 2019.
