Summit Wins Opportunity to Support HUD’s Office of Public and Indian Housing

Summit has won the opportunity to support the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD's) Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH), Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) in a new engagement. While much of our work with HUD focuses on quantitative analysis, this new engagement will provide financial modeling and subsidy rate calculation services, which falls more into the realm of Federal Credit advisory services.

In 2011, ONAP guaranteed more than 3,000 loans, which were analyzed for risk and cash flow using a credit subsidy model. As the portfolio continues to grow, however, the model must be updated to accommodate a changing economic environment.

Summit’s role on this project is to develop a new credit subsidy model, update the model, and provide budget preparation assistance for ONAP. Additionally, Summit’s Federal Credit experts will provide training to the Office of Loan Guarantee (OLG), which is within ONAP and runs the loan program.

We look forward to supporting this important program!
