Summit Engaged to Administer DOL CEO’s Scholars Program

This April, Summit was awarded and began work on the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Scholars Program engagement, which allows our team to work with the Office of the Chief Evaluation Officer (CEO) in administering this program.

CEO works to implement, manage, and coordinate DOL’s evaluation programs. In an effort to encourage and highlight policy research, CEO is spearheading the Scholars Program, which will promote and reward independent study from researchers, both new and established in their fields. Summit’s role on the project includes collecting and evaluating applications, monitoring the progress of research and analysis, mentoring researchers as they produce their papers, and ensuring that CEO’s other goals for the program are met. Additionally, Summit will assist CEO in redesigning their website to become a more usable resource for finding these studies, as well as the ones already completed.

This engagement with DOL adds to our portfolio of services in support of the agency. The Summit Team also assists the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) and Wage and Hour Division (WHD) in statistical sampling for program evaluation. We are looking forward to continuing our work with DOL on this important and innovative engagement.
