Summit Sponsors DataFest 2012 at UCLA

Summit once again sponsored UCLA's Datafest, a two-day event challenging small teams of students to analyze a data set in creative, original ways - and under a 48-hour deadline.

This year's data set was from Kiva, a microlending organization that allows individuals to make loans as small as $25 to small-scale entrepreneurs all over the world. Students provided original analysis that helped Kiva examine possible strategies for increasing lender activity, as well as patterns of borrower repayment.
