Director and Subject Matter Expert

Susan Craft is a senior federal budget and financial management expert with over 40 years of experience in federal budgeting, accounting, financial systems, and credit program support. She has spent more than 25 years in senior leadership roles at the USDA, particularly within the Farm Service Agency (FSA) and the Farm Production and Conservation Business Center (FPAC).

Craft leads agency-wide budget and financial management activities, overseeing integration across budget, accounting, and program functions. Her background includes extensive work with federal financial systems and processes, such as OMB MAX, apportionment workflows, and USDA accounting systems. Craft supports the design of budget models, execution controls, and reporting frameworks that ensure compliant and transparent program delivery. She also develops policies, procedures, and training programs for federal credit budget analysts that align financial operations with evolving program and system requirements.
