Summit wins Dept. of Education transformation services BPA award

July 11, 2019 (Washington, D.C.) – Summit Consulting (Summit), along with its analytics partner Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, announced today their latest win: a $50 million Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Award for Transformation Support Services with the U.S. Department of Education (ED).

DOL Publishes Summit's Analysis of Benefit Plan Auditors

In February 2019, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) published a new Summit’s report: “An Analysis of Benefit Plan Auditors.”

This report presents findings from a trend analysis of CPA selection and switching behavior over time through examination of Form 5500 filing data and audit reviews conducted by EBSA between Plan Years 2011 and 2015. 

Evidence suggests that the population of CPAs is changing and that the more benefit plan audits a CPA firm performs, the more likely that auditor is to stay in the market. These findings may benefit plan CPA population may be helpful for informing future outreach, monitoring, and research efforts by EBSA.

DOL Publishes Summit's Analysis of Return-to-Work Outcomes


In January 2019, the Department of Labor (DOL) published a new Summit’s report: “Return-to-Work Outcomes for Federal Employees in the Office of Worker's Compensation Disability Management Program.”

Summit Wins DOL ADRA

October 2018 (Washington, D.C.) – Summit Consulting (Summit) is proud to announce our latest win: a five-year Administrative Data Research and Analysis (ADRA) Project with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Chief Evaluation Office (CEO). The purpose of this contract is to analyze administrative datasets from various agencies within DOL to answer programmatic research questions. This will be Summit’s third iteration of the ADRA contract to support CEO and other DOL agenciesThis new ADRA projectallows Summit to continue using data analytics to help DOL support workers, job seekers, and retirees. With this award, we bring a new partner to complement our team’s strong analytical skillset. October 2018 (Washington, DC) – Summit’s mission-oriented finance team will attend the 2018 Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) Conference October 8-11 in Chicago, IL. OFN is a coalition of mission-oriented lenders who gather to discuss best practices and innovative techniques. They work hard to improve the lives of the poorest Americans by lending where conventional lenders are reluctant to invest.
