Mr. Joseph Bateman serves as a Senior Consultant on Summit’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund Team in the Federal Credit Modeling and Forecasting Directorate. His support to the CDFI Fund consists of performing compliance research on the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program. In this capacity, Mr. Bateman performs statistical analysis of NMTC administrative data as well as in-depth reviews of individual NMTC transactions, focusing on financial structuring, rates of return and costs of capital for the various parties, and the amount of residual equity available to low-income community businesses.
Mr. Bateman earned his Master of International Business (MIB) from Tufts University and his B.A. in International Studies and Spanish from the University of Mississippi.
