Frank Vetrano, Director
Mr. Vetrano serves as a Director at Summit. He came to Summit from the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), and brings a strong reputation for mortgage risk analytics and housing policy that spans across both private and public sectors.
Mr. Vetrano has served as a senior leader at both the FHFA and at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Federal Housing Administration (FHA). As the Chief Risk Officer for FHA from 2011 through 2016, he established a large-scale credit risk management department and developed strategies to help bring the MMI Fund back into profitability. Prior to his time in the Federal government, Mr. Vetrano was Senior Vice President of Risk Management at Radian Guaranty in Philadelphia, PA. In that role, he developed and executed strategies to improve Radian’s credit performance while increasing market share. Mr. Vetrano also served as Senior Director of Freddie Mac from 1987-2006.
In addition to an MBA from the University of Rochester, Mr. Vetrano earned his certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
