CredInsight launch

CredInsight-Logo-Tagline-Primary

This month, we launched CredInsight, Summit’s new commercial, cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that modernizes federal credit modeling, budgeting, and audit compliance. CredInsight is built on more than 20 years of bringing commercial practices to federal lending programs.

For decades, Summit's experts have worked side by side with federal agencies to help them navigate Federal Credit Reform Act of 1990 (FCRA) requirements, audits, reestimates, and growing portfolio complexity. CredInsight combines that experience in a single, modern platform that is purpose-built for today’s federal credit environment.

✔️ End-to-end support across the federal credit life cycle

✔️ Commercial, cloud-based platform
✔️ Integrated modeling, budgeting, and portfolio management
✔️ Alignment with OMB A-11 & A-129, FASAB, and GAO requirements
✔️ Automation, transparency, and audit-ready traceability

CredInsight helps agencies reduce manual effort, cut costs, strengthen data-driven decision-making, and maintain full compliance.

We couldn’t be prouder to bring our commercial experience to the federal credit community and to take this next step in Summit’s mission to modernize federal financial management.

Spotlight on Expertise:

Summit modernizes federal credit modeling at U.S. International Development Finance Corporation

To modernize its federal credit program, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) needed to move beyond siloed data systems and disconnected automation tools toward an integrated, standards‑compliant approach.

Summit delivered a secure, cloud‑based solution that unifies data management, obligation modeling, and reporting in a single web‑accessible application. The platform streamlines workflows across finance and funds models, significantly reducing run times and errors while improving user experience and quality control.

As a result, DFC gained greater traceability, accountability, and confidence in executing critical federal finance functions.

Transforming federal lending

Federal credit programs face growing pressure to modernize and learn from the private sector. This transformation includes replacing aging systems, strengthening audit readiness, reducing operational risk, and improving data quality.

Across our three-part series, Summit experts explore the challenges and opportunities of modernization:

  • 1️⃣ Episode 1: Why programs overseeing over $5 trillion in loans struggle with technical debt, siloed data, and manual processes.

  • 2️⃣ Episode 2: Can technology replace domain expertise? No, modern tools improve efficiency, but human insight remains essential.

  • 3️⃣ Episode 3: Modernization isn’t just new tech, it’s rethinking how programs design, maintain, audit, and evolve systems while retaining expert oversight.
