Innovation Inspiration:

Summit competes in ACT-IAC Hackathon

Our data science team recently competed in the American Council for Technology - Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) AI Hackathon, a fast-paced, hands-on environment that sparked innovation, strengthened cross-sector partnerships, and turned concepts into actionable prototypes.

For this challenge, the team chose a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) use case. In just two weeks, they built PIPER—a working prototype showcasing AI’s power to boost program integrity at scale. PIPER demonstrates how thoughtful, transparent AI helps government agencies protect taxpayer dollars, boost oversight, and build trust in public programs.

We’re proud to see our team sharing their expertise and learning alongside the peers who shape the future of the public sector!

Summit hosts 33rd Annual Morris Hansen Lecture and Reception

We were thrilled to host the 33rd Morris Hansen Lecture and Reception on March 30—an incredible opportunity to bring together statisticians and data enthusiasts to explore  “Combining Information from Multiple Data Sources Using Statistical Modeling and Methods.”

With insight from Professor Partha Lahiri of the Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM) and discussants, Beka Steorts and Lisa Mirel, this lecture sparked thoughtful discussion and proactive engagement.
