Summit’s Staff Expands by Four in Beginning Months of 2014

Summit brought on four staff members in February of this year. We welcome Berna Demiralp as Senior Consultant, Michael Loehlein as a Consultant, and Michael Bohne and Andrew Netter as Senior Analysts.

Berna Demiralp, Ph.D., has expertise in labor and demographic economics, focusing on entrepreneurship, regional economic development, and occupational choice. She will support engagements within the Program Evaluation directorate, and earned her doctorate in economics from Johns Hopkins University.

With experience in SAS, SQL, R, and SPSS, Michael Loehlein supports data-driven engagements in mortgage finance. His professional experience includes service as a Senior Research Manager at the American Bankers Association, where he developed custom business intelligence and reporting platforms. He is currently working to complete his Master’s degree in applied economics at Johns Hopkins University.

Michael Bohne comes to Summit from the Federal Trade Commission, where he used skills in Stata, Excel, and ArcGIS to work with data in conducting anti-trust analysis. He holds a B.S. in economics from Pennsylvania State University.

Andrew Netter, who has experience in data modeling and analytics, was a Research Assistant at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) before joining our team. He earned two Bachelor’s degrees at Binghamton University: one in economic analysis and one in mathematical sciences.
