Summit Welcomes Three Highly Qualified Professionals in Litigation Analytics

Summit is pleased to announce the addition of three highly qualified professionals to its Litigation Analytics team. We welcome Dr. Alan Salzberg to Summit as a Director and Senior Statistician, Mr. Jonathan Scott as a Manager, and Dr. Orit Ronen as a Consultant. Having previously worked with all three of these individuals as teaming partners, the Summit staff now welcomes them to the company as key members to our growing firm.

Dr. Alan Salzberg brings nearly 20 years of professional consulting experience. His focus is on statistical sampling, estimation and modeling, especially using regression and other techniques applied to large and complex datasets. He has testified as an expert witness in the area of statistics in multiple venues, ensuring that the often highly complex results of litigation analytics are understood by audiences who have little or no background in math or statistics. He earned a Ph.D. in statistics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in economics.

As a Manager within Litigation Analytics, Mr. Jonathan Scott provides guidance on statistical and quantitative analysis for a variety of clients and industries. His work has concentrated in the areas of healthcare overpayment and fraud, risk analysis, and commercial litigation and damages. In a previous role, Mr. Scott was a Vice President in credit risk management at a large, regional bank and focused on modeling the delinquency and default risk of commercial and retail loans. Mr. Scott earned his M.B.A., concentrating in finance and marketing, and Masters of Public & Internal Affairs (M.P.I.A.) from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Orit Ronen joins Summit as a Consultant. She supports attorneys with economic and quantitative analysis, review, and critiques in commercial litigation. Her analytical experience in the area of litigation includes economic modeling and data analysis, market valuation with regard to private information and externalities considerations, and game theory/ behavioral economics. Specifically, she has practical experience in the areas of healthcare, fraud detection, and damages or risk estimation. She earned her Ph.D. in economics from The Hebrew University.

The qualifications and experience that these three professionals bring to the team help ensure that litigation clients receive comprehensive analysis and understandable results. We look forward to working with them!
