Summit Partners with University of Maryland to Establish Sampling & Survey Fellowship

Summit is proud to announce a new partnership with the Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM) at the University of Maryland. This partnership is part of Summit’s expanding presence in the academic community, and establishes a Sampling and Survey Methodology Fellowship for our staff to earn graduate certificates in this specialization.

The JPSM was founded in 1993 and offers graduate-level training in survey research principles and practices. Summit has been familiar with the JPSM for many years, having worked with Dr. Frauke Kreuter, a professor in the program, and Dr. Richard Valliant, who teaches within the program and also serves as Associate Director.

As part of the partnership, Summit sponsors professional development for interested staff members. Summiteers can choose to focus on Intermediate Survey Methodology or Survey Statistics. Currently, Tim Satterfield and Balint Peto are enrolled in the program.

We look forward to seeing what new insights and knowledge can be realized from this partnership.
