Summit Consultant Participates in World Bank Research Effort

Since summer 2012, Ferhat Bilgin has been working with two Economists at the World Bank to investigate the relationships between actual and future employment survey data. This research aims to identify the “sectors that can lead employment growth and job creation in the fragile post-crisis period.”

The group’s research was featured as a chapter in a semi-annual World Bank report entitled “EU11 Regular Economic Report,” available online. Mr. Bilgin, a Consultant at Summit, was invited to Brussels to present the research. Although he could not attend in person, he was able to participate via video conference on June 25th.

Later this year, Mr. Bilgin may present this research to the Econometrics Seminar Program, a Summit-sponsored professional development group that allows staff to share their research and emerging techniques that they employ in the course of academic study or client engagements.
