Summit Study Cited in the Small Business Economy: A Report to the President

Summit’s 2009 study, “Toward Effective Education of Innovative Entrepreneurs in Small Business: Initial Results from a Survey of College Students and Graduates”, was recently cited in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2010 report to the President.

Summit’s study, based on survey data from college and business-school graduates, showed that graduates who have taken entrepreneurship courses are significantly more likely to select careers in entrepreneurship. The results suggest that this coursework might improve students’ abilities to identify and take advantage of new innovative opportunities.
