Federal Agency Targeting (FEDTARG) Program Study

Challenge: The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is interested in learning more about the Federal Agency Targeting (FEDTARG) program. The program chooses Federal worksites for inspections based on the number of lost-time cases (LTCs) the worksite experienced in the previous fiscal year.

Summit’s Approach: Summit conducted a descriptive study of the program. The results provide details on the characteristics of the inspected sites, inspection information including the violations cited during inspections, and the injury/illness counts before and after inspections.

Final Report: Read the Federal Agency Targeting Inspection (FEDTARG) Program Study Final Report, completed in September 2015, for the results of Summit's analysis.
