2013 Summer Analysts Arrive in Washington D.C.

Summer Analysts have arrived at the Summit offices to assist staff and learn about the world of consulting. Summit’s diverse catalog of engagements allows students from multiple backgrounds to complement their academic knowledge with professional experience.

Laura Hoesly is majoring in applied statistics at Pennsylvania State University and will work with Tim Essam and Michael Smith on engagements for the Department of Labor. Larry Au will work with Mariel Townsend on projects with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He attends Brown University and majors in sociology, a program which uses quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Joseph Albanese, Shane Roberts, and Brian Batten also join us for the summer. Joseph is studying at Georgetown University and majoring in international political economy. Brian attends Northwestern University, where he studies both mathematics and economics. A student at UCLA, Shane majors in statistics and has participated in the university's annual Datafest, which Summit sponsored this year.

We hope that all of our Summer Analysts enjoy their experiences with Summit and in Washington, D.C.
