DOL Publishes Summit's Program Evaluation of OSHA’s Site-Specific Targeting Program

SST_Evaluation_Final_Report_2016_-_cover_page.jpgIn June 2016, the Department of Labor (DOL) published Summit’s final program evaluation report: “Evaluation of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Site-Specific Targeting Program.”

Summit’s Program Evaluation team assessed the impact of DOL’s Site-Specific Targeting (SST) program on regulatory compliance and workplace health and safety. The Summit team leveraged DOL's administrative data on workplace health and safety investigations and compliance to conduct both randomized controlled trial (RCT) design and a regression discontinuity design (RDD) evaluations of the SST program. Summit’s program evaluation experts offered analyses that will help DOL improve future investigation efforts.
