Members of the JPSM announced an exclusive, innovative short-term Executive Management Certification Course in Applied Data Analytics. This course by JPSM will provide managers in private, public, and nonprofit sectors who work with or for city, state, and federal government the chance to be certified in best practices to address policy change and use big data. (Read more about Summit's multi-faceted partnership with the JPSM.)

This master class, which will teach the newest tools in data science, social science, and computation, will give scholarships to public sector employees.

Attendees also celebrated the book launch of Big Data and Social Science, an accessible approach to integrating ideas and methodologies about economic and social measurement into the workplace and fields of research.

Three of the book's editors—Rayid Ghani, Frauke Kreuter, and Julia Lane—participated in a panel discussion. The audience heard about the latest trends in policy and data analytics as they enjoyed wine and cheese in Summit's spacious PEAK Center.
